This is an ongoing project that started summer 2022. These photo's were made in my tiny city garden. I long to be in nature. My garden is my daily substitute for this need. I try to completely focus, crawl into 'my' nature and banish out the city. I plant, prune and fertilize to my taste. While photographing I put the plants in the right light to enhance their beauty. Does my desire to romanticize get in the way of truly seeing? Or maybe my effort to create and see beauty help me to connect. But how much freedom do I take while altering 'nature'?
